What COMPASS IT Fair 2015 brought to its table for the first time

The waves of digital revolution are hard to resist and why should we? It can be deferred, delayed but cannot be denied. After all it means a new you or rather a new us. It is time that we take measures to adapt to it and embrace this new world of technological updates creating havoc for those who are still comfortable in the old ways of life. Computer Association of Eastern India held its Mega IT Fair from 13 to16 February 2015 with eyes on new digital India.

With the collaboration of Cebit, the trade fair organized the first of its kind seminars bringing manufacturers and banking professionals to understand the IT investment potential in east. The seminar arranged speakers on the  likes of Abhishek Rungta, founder and CEO, Indus Net Technologies, Sandeep Sengupta, founder and director, School of Ethical Hacking, Shree Parthsarathy, National Leader-Cybersecurity, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India.

A series of workshops were also arranged on hot tech topics like influence of social media on business performance, increasing revenue using Google Search Engine Optimization, steps towards making a better online presence, evolution of digital lifestyle, security concerns in the cyber space, opportunities in private cloud and Indian Cyber Intelligence Workforce Development Campaign.

Seminars and workshops showcased COMPASS’s standpoint towards a more developed Indian business ecosystem with its contribution towards the eastern part of the nation. Although the well structured workshops ad seminars were insightful and thought provoking, it still failed to attract the right audience. Perhaps being COMPASS first time in this space, marketing and promotional activities were still a lag behind.
