VCMDWA to launch ‘Assurance Scheme’ to protect customers’ rights

Vidarbha Computer & Media Dealer’s Welfare Association-VCMDWA has taken a unique initiative to protect the end users from fraud and counterfeiting. The association has announced to launch ‘VCMDWA Assurance Scheme’ for the benefit of citizens of Nagpur. The scheme aims to guide people during their purchase of IT products and services.

VCMDWA, which recently elected a new executive committee for the term 2015-2017, said that the scheme would help to safeguard consumers’ rights. VCMDWA, in its AGM held recently, elected Rajesh Saboo of M/s Shreyas Infotech as the president.

The other executive committee members include: Vinay Dharmadhikari of M/s Vincom System as Vice President, Dinesh Naidu of M/s Micro Chip Systems as Secretary, Ranjit Umathe of M/s Vidyasagar Enterprises as Jt. Secretary, Prashant Bulbule of M/s Surabhi Enterprises as Treasurer and Rajesh Ganorkar of M/s Lan Win IT Solution, Nikhil Gandhi of M/s Om Computers and Lalit Gandhi of M/s Universal Business Systems as Executive Committee Members.

Talking to the DQ Week, the newly elected president Rajesh Saboo said that the new body would work in coherence with the government agencies and extend all its technical and manpower support in the upcoming ‘Smart Nagpur’ projects.

“This year we have decided to focus on the three thrust areas: Trade Activities, Coordination with members’ organizations to help them in organizing technical and management programs and Cooperation with surrounding IT associations. Apart from that we will also focus on increasing our membership strength”, said Saboo.

Talking about the ambitious ‘VCMDWA Assurance Scheme’, Saboo said, “It will safeguard consumer rights in getting the genuine products and warranty service which has become very crucial in today’s era of online shopping.”

VCMDWA is one of the prominent IT associations in Central India.
