Thanjavur based VB system, which had both distribution and retail is strongly focusing on distribution segment with their new operation expanded in Madurai.
Rajesh T, CEO of VB Computers said, “We had set up a full-fledged office at Madurai for logistic reasons and we are focusing between Kanyakumari and Mayiladuthirai, which will be served by our offices in Madurai and Thanjavur respectively,” said Rajesh T, CEO, VB Systems. He also said that currently he is handling products like Dell, Samsung, Numeric, V-Guard, Prodot and Zebion. “Right now my focus is on one particular region only. Just for the sake of expansion we do not want to increase the geography. We believe there is a strong market unexplored in our own territory.” He said further adding that the situation of the conventional computing devices is taken for a ride. Predicting a 60% drop in the laptops segment, he pointed that the key factor behind focus on the distribution segments. Also added is the slow phase growth of the products that reaches any customers as finished.
“Earlier it was 60% of retail and 40% of distribution. However, post-inauguration of our Madurai facility, we will be giving equal importance for both the retailing and distribution segment without disturbing the market operating price,” Rajesh concluded.
VB Systems also involves in solutions including structured cabling on a project-to-project basis.
