Trichy Association wins cricket tournament

CONFED-ITA organized a cricket championship on 21-22 February 2015 in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Seventeen teams from all districts under CONFED-ITA participated in the tournament. The winner of this year’s tournament was the home team Trichy association and the runners-up team was Tirupur’s TITA.

Trichy association won the match by 3 wickets on the score of 99 in 15 over against 14 over and 7 wickets. The man of the series was bagged by Dinesh, best bowler by Sakthivel, best wicket keeper by Ranjeeth Jayakar and best batsman by Nanji.

The winning team was rewarded with cash prize worth rupees fifteen thousand along with a trophy and the runner up team got ten thousand.

On the occasion Sunil Kumar joint secretary II said, “This was a great match as the winning team won by just 3 wickets and the match was enjoyed by everyone. We played as a member of CONFED-ITA and it feels great to have such an event”.
