Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) rejoicing with the launch of Telangana State Information Technology Policy 2016 on Monday. Telangana government with an objective of making Telangana state the most preferred IT destination and for enhancing the capacity for growth of IT sector in state has introduced a first of its kind draft policy called Telangana IT Policy. This policy is developed to create an industrial friendly and proactive climate for IT Companies and hassle free environment in the Telangana state.
Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) president Sundeep Kumar Makthala has welcomed the decision of the state government and said that these initiatives will attract more IT investments and intern create employment opportunities to the educated youth of all section of the society across all regions. The aim of the policy is to spread IT to nook and corner of the state and will help in the socio-economic development of the State.
“The policy covers four major area like Innovation centered on encouraging the startups by providing the infrastructure and technology know how needed by the budding entrepreneurs. Telangana government in partnership with 3 of India’s premier academic institutes has started an incubator center for startup’s called T-HUB, this move is aimed at creating white collar jobs in the state. The second area is Electronics and Manufacturing policy with an aim to create blue collar employment opportunities. The third sub policy is Rural tech, this policy is aimed at encouraging the BPO companies to set up shops in tier-2 and tier-3 cities like Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Khammam. The fourth policy is drafted as GAME (Gaming, Animation, Media and Entertainment) to promote the gaming and animation sectors.” said Sundeep Kumar Makthala, Founder and President, TITA
“Already we know that, major IT Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc, are planned for biggest campus in Hyderabad. Likewise, even many other IT Companies are going to invest in Telangana State. Telangana State IT Exports in the year 2014-15 are 66,000 crores. With Telangana IT Policy, IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao aim to double the IT Exports in the coming 5 years becomes much easier.” said Makthala.
