The DQ Week successfully concluded IT Distributor Conclave and Awards at Udaipur held from 7th to 9th August 2015. The IT Distributor Conclave and awards witnessed rounds of discussion on the business of e-commerce portals, new Age Business Development - Role of Associations, Is Online the Answer for Consumer Channel. Strong points were mentioned both in support and against of e-commerce portals. People also suggested uniting and fighting for our right against unethical business of some of the e-commerce portals. Punjab Association of Computer Dealers (PACT) mentioned the challenges face by the association and Channel partners while fighting against e-tailers. We have been fighting against e-tailers for long and we even protested by striking for more than 100 days, at last we realised that we can’t fight against, so we decided to give up and concentrate on our business and devise new ways to attract customers.
Talking about the significance of online portal in the Digital India, “With more internet penetration the demand for products and solutions would increase and the channel would play a significant role in delivering those requirements. Therefore, channel partners needed to upgrade and adapt new technologies”, said VP, Sales & Marketing, Rashi Peripherals. It is time to do a real value addition in business and come up with a basket of solutions.
Asif Khan from Technocrat Infotech asked people dealing with e tailers to be careful. He mentioned an instance where a distributor was shocked when the payment he received was much less than what promised by the e-tailers. He also added that you need to be extra cautious and attentive while dealing with them. He also urged to the delegates to find a new way to tease customers as all of us know that traditional business is here to stay.
On the 2nd day of the event The DQ Week honoured the leading Resellers, Distributors, Regional Distributors and IT associations. All the delegates and The DQ Week Team gathered proudly and made this event a huge success.
