The Telangana Government has asked the Centre to revive the ITIR (Information Technology Investment Region) scheme that has been shelved by the NDA Government.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao met Union Electronics and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in New Delhi on Monday and appealed to him to revive the scheme that was launched by the UPA Government. The ITIR scheme was aimed at developing physical and virtual infrastructure in the new locations in an IT hub. Rama Rao also asked the Union Minister to provide financial support to the upcoming T-Works, an exclusive start-up incubator for IT hardware firms.
