Symantec appoints Shrikant Shitole as managing director for India

Symantec has appointed Shrikant Shitole as managing director for its enterprise security business in India. Based in Mumbai, Shitole will be responsible for driving growth for the company by developing and delivering on business strategy. Shitole takes over from Sanjay Rohatgi who has been promoted to senior vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan sales for Symantec.

An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Shitole has held senior management roles across several enterprises in the IT and telecom segment. Prior to joining Symantec, he was the chief sales and marketing officer at Nelco (Tata Enterprise), responsible for sales, marketing and product management. Before joining Nelco, he was the managing director for India and SAARC at Avaya Services, responsible for sales and service delivery. Shitole has also held various senior roles at Cisco and worked extensively across the Asia, Pacific and Japan region.

Shitole holds an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, India and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Walchand Institute of Technology, India.
