Swipe Set to Manufacture ‘Make in India’ Smartphones, Tablets by Jan 2016

With an aim to support the ongoing government of India’s Make in India campaign – Swipe Technologies is all set to manufacture next generation ready smartphones and tablets at its own manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune.

“We are getting ourselves ready to manufacture smartphones and tablets from our manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. We are hopeful that our first smartphone and tablet will come out by January, 2016,” informed, Shripal Gandhi, Founder & CEO of Swipe Technologies.

Talking about the development of smartphone manufacturing ecosystem, he said that the company looking forward to doing indigenous manufacturing from its facility in Pune. “We will be getting 20 per cent components indigenously in India rest of it will be in SKD or (semi knocked down) format, he added.
