The Jodhpur Computer Dealers Association (JDCA) is set for re-elections in the month of January but with little scope for new faces in the list of office bearers.
The association, since its inception in the year 2002, has the same set of office bearers. While it may be argued that there is no match of the current leaders' efficiency but on a deeper introspection, it represents a different picture.
When asked on this topic, Basant Mehta, president, JDCA, said that there is not much problem surrounding partners and therefore, the same office bearers continue.
Mehta said, "During the election time, members ask us to continue checking the possibility of a re-election."
However, Sanjeev Monga, secretary, JDCA, while talking to The DQ Week, earlier explained that IT partners are reluctant to meet and discuss even the major topics like weak business sentiments during festivals. He mentioned the need of a family get together to bring out a discussion on these issues as the partners were not even ready to do so officially.
Ironically, according to the association's website, the basic aim of this ‘association is to get closer, get united as well as to address different issues of computer dealer community on a single platform and to increase the IT culture in respective towns.'
