Smartron has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh to bring smart technology and manufacturing to transform the state’s technological infrastructure.
The MoU, signed in the presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh and Founder and Chairman of Smartron Mahesh Lingareddy, opens up multiple areas of opportunities for the company in the space of smart health, infrastructure, education and home, among others.
“With our strong R&D-led product portfolio, we look forward to partnering with the Chhattisgarh government to transform the state’s technological infrastructure and deliver intelligent and personalised services in the state,” Lingareddy said in a statement.
Through this partnership, Smartron will bring in their expertise in the area of developing smart devices like smartphones, laptops and other products that offer customised, personalised experience to users. This, in turn, will help create more opportunities for jobs and provide better technological infrastructure.
“The Chhattisgarh Suchna Kranti Yojana (SKY) scheme has given a big boost and created huge opportunity in electronic manufacturing in the state. I would like to congratulate all the entrepreneurs and expect these companies to start execution of the projects at the earliest,” Singh added.
Smartron is building India’s first global technology OEM brand with focus on innovation-led product ecosystem around ‘tronX’, an AI-powered IOT platform delivering intelligent experiences through range of smart devices to various verticals.
In March this year, the Chief Minister presented the state budget for the financial year 2017-18 in which he announced the ‘Suchna Kranti Yojana (SKY)‘ scheme to provide the free smartphones to all poor citizens of the state.
