Sandisk appoints Ganesh Guruswamy as VP India Design Center

Guruswamy will report to Jeff VerHeul, SanDisk's senior VP of corporate engineering.

SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash memory storage solutions, announced that it has named Ganesh Guruswamy as VP and head of design operations for SanDisk India Design Center located in Bangalore, India.

Guruswamy's responsibilities will include leading the design center's world-class engineering teams in the development of SanDisk's next-generation consumer storage solutions, including USB flash drives, memory cards, microSD cards, and other removable flash-based products. Guruswamy will report to Jeff VerHeul, SanDisk's senior VP of corporate engineering.

Guruswamy has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to SanDisk, he served as VP and India country manager at Freescale Semiconductor, and in senior management and engineering roles at Motorola, Advanced Micro Devices, and the Indian Space Research Organization.

Guruswamy has served on the executive council of the Indian Semiconductor Association and has been featured in multiple publications. He earned a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho in the United States, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronics from Bangalore University.
