Smartphone maker HMD Global recently unveiled the Nokia 6 smartphone which marked the return of the brand into the smartphone segment. Now, if a recent report is anything to go by, specifications of another Nokia-branded smartphone have been leaked. It is believed that this smartphone, rumored to be Nokia E1, will be a part of the four Nokia smartphones HMD Global plans to launch this year.
According to Nokia Power User website, Nokia E1 will be running the Android 7.0 Nougat OS (which also powers the Nokia 6). The handset is also said to come in either a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch screen size with an HD (1280x720 pixels) resolution display.
The unannounced smartphone is expected to come powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz clubbed with a 2GB RAM and an Adreno 308 GPU. In terms of camera, the smartphone may feature a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device will purportedly sport a 16GB storage capacity.
With these specifications, it can be expected that the Nokia E1 will fall in the budget smartphone segment. As of now, HMD is yet to reveal its plans on the launch of the device. However, going by the current calendar, chances are that the smartphone may see the light of the day at the upcoming MWC 2017 conference.
