RSA, a security division of EMC, has promoted Amit Yoran as president. Yoran will be responsible for delivering a unified customer experience across products, marketing, sales and services. Art Coviello, RSA’s Executive Chairman, and will work with Yoran to continue driving RSA’s strategic direction.
Yoran has been a driving RSA’s Intelligence Driven Security strategy and aligning RSA’s product portfolio to meet the new and emerging security challenges facing enterprises. He joined RSA in 2011 following the acquisition of NetWitness, a company founded by Yoran, by RSA.
Earlier, he was the vice president of Worldwide Managed Security Services at Riptech, which was acquired by Symantec in 2002.
Yoran previously served as the founding director of the US Computer Emergency Response Team and as a founding member of the US Department of Defense’s CERT program.
