ADCTA stands strongly over discounting this festive season
Online companies are offering lots of offers and discounts to attract customers during this festival season. Online companies like Flipkart, Snapdeal are offering exiting and heavy discounting to attract more and more customers for online shopping. But these offers and discounts make channel partners unhappy.
All Delhi Computer Dealers Association (ADCTA) are objecting on these business practices of e-tailers and seeking answers for their questions from government. ADCTA raised their voice, targeting PM Narendra Modi.
ADCTA is concerned about E-tailers as according to them they claim that they have a place in the market and other then this they have no role in deciding the prices as sellers are the final authority to decide the price but if sellers are deciding the prices, then question arises, who are these sellers and from whom they are procuring the material.
“These sellers are from our seller community as our procurement sources are same. These sellers have to pay commission to E-tailors and deliver the product. E-tailers become costlier after adding the delivery cost”, added ADCTA.
ADCTA also said, “Multiple players are entering everyday in the market and running their own schemes, even banks are entering into this. How by using debit card/credit card on online purchase entitle someone to get discount of 10% when in offline market these credit card machine holders are charging surcharge for using these Debit/Credit card”.
“Many e-tailers has started online sale in this festive season, but we hope they will not allow selling sub-standard material to Indian consumers with their self claimed market prices in the name of discounting. Also consumers have to understand business propagandas in the name of heavy discounting” Said Swaran Singh, Secretary, ADCTA.
