OnePlus' upcoming flagship (or flagship killer) smartphone, likely to be called OnePlus 5, has been a subject of numerous leaks and rumours in the past few weeks. So far, the company hasn't revealed any details about the smartphone. However, a new listing on Oppo Mart website has not just spilled the beans about the yet-to-be-announced handset's alleged specifications, price and even shipping date.
According to the listing, OnePlus 5 will cost $449, or about Rs 28,800. But this is highly unlikely, as the OnePlus 3T (64GB) already costs Rs 29,999 in India. Since the new smartphone will undoubtedly be more powerful, it's likely to cost more as well. The listing further mentions that the expected shipping timeframe of the OnePlus 5 is in the 'beginning of June' this year.
As for the alleged specifications, OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution display and have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It's also been mentioned that the smartphone will sport a dual-camera setup at the back with two 12MP modules, in addition to an 8MP front-facing snapper Some other features expected include a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front, Dash Charge 2.0 technology, 4G LTE and dual-SIM card support, as well as a 3,850mAh battery.
In related news, a website called True-tech.net recently shared four images, which are claimed to have been shot using the OnePlus 5's camera. The EXIF data from the images shows that they have been clicked using a device bearing model number A5000, which falls in line with the device numbers of previous OnePlus models. For reference, OnePlus 3came with model number A3000 number. Also, the location details mentioned in the data suggest that the images were taken in Shenzhen, China, which is where the headquarters of OnePlus are.
OnePlus is yet to confirm anything about the upcoming smartphone. But if the aforementioned claims are true, the OnePlus 5 might indeed live up to its 'flagship killer' tag.
