Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers’ Welfare Association (VCMDWA) successfully concluded its flagship IT exhibition COMP-EX 2016 on Monday. The five-day IT show witnessed a huge response from visitors and high profile dignitaries. This was the 25th year of COMP-EX which was majorly focused around Cloud Technology.
The expo was inaugurated at by the Chief Guest Brijesh Dixit, Chairman and Managing Director, Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., in the presence of the Guest of Honor Sonu Kewalramani, Super Distributor, Intex Mobile and office bearers of VCMDWA.
Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis also visited the exhibition. In his brief address, the CM shared his vision for Digital Maharashtra and the series of e Governance projects. While announcing the success of a Digital gram Panchayat project in Nagpur, the CM said that by the end of 2018 all the gram Panchayats in the state would have fiber connectivity which would bridge the gap between the lifestyles and facilities between a city and a village.
VCMDWA also launched ‘NagpurNext’ - IT based project competition for college students. NagpurNext not only promotes educational excellence but serves to promote dialogue and co-operation, through the interaction of students with the leaders of the IT industry. Students from various colleges attended the sessions in a large number.
To add to the fun element, the students were given a free hand in the gaming zone. Besides, this year COMP-EX-25 also launched unique initiatives such as IT Picnic and IT museum, which generated a lot of curiosity among visitors. The association announced the launch of VCMDWA Assured Partner Certification. This initiative guarantees genuine, high quality of products along with prompt service to VCMDWA’s member dealers.
There were sixteen huge pavilions and sixty regular stalls of various vendors from PAN India. Intex was the sponsor of Compex-25 2017 while NAGPUR Metro Rail Corporation Ltd was the associate sponsor and others associates were mobility partner Uber, networking partner D-Link, cyber security partner Palo Alto, education partner I-Web, connectivity partner Jio Communication, online media partner Reacho.in, outdoor media partner Signpost and E-Wallet partner SBI Buddy. Several brands announced exclusive product launches during the five days of the technology show.
