In its second innings in India Motorola launched itself with an online exclusive tie-up with Flipkart. But recently, the company has announced the launch of its first brick-and-mortar store Moto Care in India.
The first store is up and running in Jayanagar Road in Bangalore. It spans across 3,000 square feet and has facilities for service and support to customers and also acts as an experience zone. It includes hardware repair and queries about software upgrades, as Motorola smartphone sport stock Android and get regular Google updates.
While the Moto Care store will not sell any products in the retail shop, it will showcase the portfolio that Motorola has to offer in India. This currently includes Moto X (with leather and wood versions), Moto G, Moto E, Moto Turbo, Motorola Nexus and Moto 360. Users can ask the support staff to help them make an order via Flipkart, and the staff will guide them through the online procedure at the store.
In addition the company has also launched a couple of other services to up its customer care services like Moto Care App which acts as a guide to the exact point of contacts.
Motorola has also initiated a Moto Care on Wheels project in New Delhi. As part of the project, Moto vans have been deployed on the streets which will provide doorstep customer care service for up to 30 days after purchase. Additionally, Motorola informed that they also have over 150 repair and service centers across India that customers can contact or visit for assistance.
