Microsoft continues propagating Office 365, reaches Ludhiana

Demystifying the myths of Office 365, in the sidelines of The DQ Week Tech Caravan, Microsoft apprised Ludhiana partners of the features and delineated its benefit. The event was held at Klassic Fortune on 21st of this month. 

Starting with the benefits of cloud over on-premise solution, Ankur Ohri, channel partner development manager North, said that on-premise solutions have high capital expenditure, service unavailability during migrations, lack of trained manpower, lack of best practices and no free upgrades. Ohri divulged, cloud has lot of benefits.

MS Office 365, a cloud based productivity solution, has essentially four components under it: MS Exchange, Office, Lync Online, and SharePoint Ohri said, "It is cloud based architecture; has geographical redundant data centers, multi-device and mutli-platform access, market accepted solutions, free upgrades and most importantly 99.9% financially-backed SLA."

Some of the partners including Paramjeet Singh Juneja asked if these kind of solutions are relevant for markets like Ludhiana. However, Ohri pointed out that Microsoft is working with some customers in Ludhiana on the same product lines without giving out names.

Ohri also said this product also assures high margins and it may go up to 23%. Partners, however, remained doubtful on the feasibility in the markets such as Ludhiana.
