When there is will, nothing is impossible to achieve. Marathon runner Amit Sheth who has successfully run world’s toughest Comrades Marathon inspired the audience to run in the ASIRT Tech Day event.
Mumbai based Association of System Integrator and Retailers in Technology (ASIRT) had recently organized Tech Day event. Amit Sheth Celebrity writer and speaker whose book "Dare to Run" is a bestseller and was on top of the charts for a continuous period of 8 months was the speaker at the event.
Having run world's most excruciating Ultra-Marathon of 89 km in 12 hours multiple times, the first Indian to have run the South African Comrades Marathon, Amit thrilled the audience by his motivational keynote.
As a person who introduced himself as self-acclaimed couch potato and who did not run till the age of 35 and got to Orthopaedic and Physiotherapist on starting his walk, he spoke of how he battled his pain, his body and his mind to run series of Marathons in past few years.
His talk, packed with subtle humour and finest engrossing story of his 1st Marathon in Mumbai, which he barely completed to the first attempt failure at the 89 km Comrades Marathon by a whisker was not only motivational, but it has inspired members.
After his powerful address, many members committed at the event to devote one hour a day to physical fitness.
