Anwar Shirpurwala, Executive Director, MAIT, said, "In order to understand the channel partner's problem at ground level we have called this meeting. MAIT wants to get a perspective on this matter which has increasingly become the pain of channel industry". MAIT wants the discussion to be free-flowing in order to understand the pressing issue.

MAIT took this initiative after getting complains for IT associations across India. In November last year MAIT had a meeting with AIT, where the latter spoke of the channel woes faced due to price disparity with online and LFR market.

When questioned about the steps MAIT would take in order to tackle the issue Shirpurwala commented that, "It is too early to say because we still do not know in-depth about the problem. That is the reason behind this meeting. Once we understand its roots we would be better equipped to chalk out a solution".
