Jio tweets love to Voda, Airtel and Idea on Valentine’s Day

The telecom operators, Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea -- have recieved Valentine's Day greeting from an unlikely quarter. The newest player in the telecom segment and arch rival Reliance Jio has wished the three incumbent telecom service providers 'Happy Valentine's Day' on microbloging platform Twitter.

"Dear @airtelindia, @VodafoneIN, @ideacellular, Happy Valentine's Day. #WithLoveFromJio," goes the tweet from Reliance Jio's official handle @reliancejio.

The tweet appears to be an olive branch from the company which has been sharing frosty relationship with the existing telecom players ever since it launched its full fledged services on September 1, 2016.

The company's 'Welcome Offer' (now rebranded as Happy New Year offer), which gives slew of free data benefits along with voice calls, is seen as predatory pricing by the trio. All the three companies have gone to court against the various free services being offered by Reliance Jio.
