Jeff White, head, Cisco India has moved to Cisco US for personal reasons and Dinesh Malkani has now been appointed as head, Cisco India.

Presently, Dinesh Malkani is vice president, Sales, Cisco India and SAARC. In this role, Dinesh is responsible for Cisco's enterprise, public sector and service provider business across the India & SAARC regions. In addition to driving sales, his responsibility will be to drive alignment, increase customer relevance and enable a faster response to market transitions.

Dinesh joined Cisco in August 2010 and has led the Asia-Pacific Japan and Korea (APJC) collaboration team to become a market leader in every major category of this business in APJC. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT and communications industry in APJC, having lived and worked in India, China, Korea and Singapore. Over this period he has held diverse roles such as R&D engineer, SE manager, sales director, general manager, and has gained financial skills in running substantial P&L for large operations.

He has recently moved back from Singapore and is based in Bangalore.
