The industrial city of Jamdshedpur sits pretty by the rivers of Subarnarekha and surrounded by the picturesque Dalma Hills. Known for being the hot bed for the national business giant, TATAs, it was with high hopes that the team of The DQ Week landed on its thriving soil on 5th December 2014 to undergo the Tech Caravan, Jamshedpur Chapter.
Held at The Ganga Regency, Sakchi, the evening saw impressive crowd of about 25 partners with 25 unique. The evening started with a 2 min audio visual clipping of Kaspersky showcasing their Anti Virus product and the need to use it for adequate protection on laptops and PCs. Kaspersky representative, Sijith Kumar Singh was present at the occasion to answer audience queries on the product.
The session moved on towards a power point presentation made by Sashi Dubey, channel sales, Ranchi, Canon India India who spoke about his company’s two new launches- ‘LBP6030W and LBP 6230dn’. As per company literature, the former is a one of its kind Wi-fi printer with a Resident Buffer Memory of 32Mb and the fast FPOT of just 7.8 seconds in its category meant for small offices, the latter is a compact monochrome laser printer for home enterprises or small businesses equipped with network capabilities and allows multiple users to share the printer on an existing network suited for optimal resource sharing purposes. The highlight of the presentation was the evolution of printers being Wi-Fi enables. Such a development in the printer industry is regarded as one of the most recent innovations in the marketplaces. With internet taking the center stage of all business execution and process, it is obvious that the OEMs in the sector will not be far behind in updating their equipments to remain ahead in the competition.
The evening wrapped up with a session of Cybermedia’s recent launch in the online space- TechBzar.com that serves at the only IT ecommerce platform connecting dealers and distributors on a pan Indian scale. The partners showed keen enthusiasm in registering for the platform and start making deals online. No matter how much one rage about online platforms posing a threat to IT business, one has to agree that ecommerce is the future and it is the partners operating from brick and mortars stores who have to update themselves towards etailing.
