IT Partners expect ‘Acche Din’ after assembly election in West Bengal

A legislative assembly election has completed with its last phase on May 5 for the 294 seats of the Vidhan Sabha in the state of West Bangal. Like in 2011 election, the polls were held in six phases. The race for the Chief Minister chair is on a full swing as parties who are part of the election are claiming for their victory and showing confidence for winning the battle.

IT Players are also hoping some ‘Acche Din’ for the IT Market which has been dropping down from past 2 months due to assembly elections. For traders, the market concern is consistent decrease in sales which so far has affected 50% of their business.

Neeraj Agarwal, secretary, COMPASS said, “From past few months, Assembly election has affected the IT market business. All the IT players have been witnessed the drop down in foot falls in retails market. We are now hoping now that election is over, IT market might get some Achhe Din for IT players”.

“We are hoping that the next government should think about the local IT infrastructure. Industrialisation will play a major role in growth in IT market in West Bengal”, he added.

The counting of votes is scheduled on May 19.
