Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao unveiled the logo of 'TITA Telangana Digithon', a Digital Litercy initiative by the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) in JNTUH Auditorium on Monday. Telangana Digithon logo with the tagline of 'Cultivating Literacy' consists of green leafs which also indicates GO GREEN with Digital Literacry. TITA appreciated the Governments Initiative of Digital Telangana and extended its complete support in Promoting this cause to the remotest places of Telangana.
TITA President Sundeep Kumar Makthala said, "As an Information Technology Association, in this Digital Era, TITA has a basic responsibility to provide Digital Literacy to common man of India in general and to the people of Telangana in particular. For this purpose, it is decided that TITA has started Digital Literacy Programme by name 'Telangana Digithon' in Telanagana State."
"TITA will train the first batch of Telangana Digithon Trainers during the launch programme on Saturday, July 25th 2015 in IIIT Auditorium, Hyderabad. All the Telangana Digithon Trainers will be trained & certified by TITA and Trainer Codes will be assigned. Our mission is to generate One Lakh Certified Digital Literates in next couple of years in Telangana State. Digithon Programme implementation will be very fast, as it contains simple Items. After people take the Digital Literacy Training, it will show enormous improvement their life style. Topics covered in Telangana Digithon program will be Email usage, Book a ride, Search Engine, Maps, e-Commerce, Social Media, e-Banking, Smart Phone, Microsoft Office and Best/Safe Practices." he said.
TITA has developed a Mobile Application for the Telangana Digithon trainers by name "Mobile Digithon", which will be launched very shortly. Makthala said that TITA was also devising Flash Mobs for creating the awareness on Digital Literacy under the name 'Dance for Digital Literacy”.
IT Minister KT RamaRao, IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Digital Media Director Dileep Konatham, TITA Vice President Mr. Ranapratap Bojjam, General Secretaries Ashwinchandra Vallaoboju, Naveen Chinthala, TITA Members Venkata Vanam, Mohan Raidu, Naresh Ragi, Vishwak, Mansoor, Kiran Jetty, Swamy Deva, and others were present in the event.
