In the present time of demonetisation, when everyone is trying to get themselves equipped with the digital economy, Intex Technologies taking a cue from the current scenario launches a pan-India Digital Payments Awareness campaign showing businesses and consumers on how they can start with cashless transactions using online and mobile methods. This noble initiative to educate consumers was kick-started today from Varanasi in the country’s biggest state, Uttar Pradesh.
The pan-India education drive is aimed at giving financial literacy to consumers to make them comfortable with the new & evolving digital or cashless transactions. For this, at all Intex Smart World stores in the city, there will be trained professionals who will via live in-store demonstrations give small sessions on what is digital payment, how to use new payment modes for daily purposes and will assist people in getting started.

“Intex has always made efforts towards consumer convenience and experience. Cashless transaction is the future and high street is the place where both consumers and sellers are facing crisis. We are trying to help the consumer in getting digital ready and solve the problem of lull market in the high street right now, caused by demonetization. This is a time for all businesses to come together and find innovative ways to bring about the cashless revolution. Intex Smart World has immense presence in UP state and so thought of beginning this initiative from the most populous state and will be driving it throughout the country,” stated Vishal Malik, Head- Retail, Intex Technologies.
Intex will also be opening its fourth smart world store in Varanasi in Teli Bagh. The other three operational stores are located in Ardali Bazaar, Nichi Bagh and Sigra.
Intex Smart World has the most number of stores in Uttar Pradesh. Currently, the state has 23 stores of which 10 are in West UP and 13 in East UP. The first store in West UP was opened in 2015 in Ghaziabad and for East UP it was in Jhansi.
Intex Smart World had recently opened its 100th store in Jaipur city and achieved this feat within 18 months of roll out. In its 18 months journey, started in April 2015, Intex Smart World has spread pan-India covering 80+ cities across 23 states.
