Intex forays into Security and Surveillance market; launches CCTV cameras and DVR

Intex Technologies announced its foray into the growing security and surveillance solutions market by introducing a range of CCTV cameras and digital video recorders (DVR) targeted at enterprise customers. The products will be available in the market through Intex's exclusive IT channel partners in North India. The company plans to expand the network through training and adding more distributors in the coming months. The products were also showcased at the 16th India International Security Expo organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) in association with SPGI (Security Promotion Group of India) from September 26-29, 2013 in New Delhi and saw participation from top players in security and surveillance solutions.

The growing trend among enterprises, to safeguard corporate workplaces, has provided a boost to the Indian security and surveillance systems industry, which is currently about Rs 1,100 crore and expected to reach Rs 2200 crore by 2015.

Commenting on the launch, Vikram Kalia, GM, product, Intex Technologies said, "Our state-of-the-art range of security and surveillance products marks our entry into the security technology market which is growing at about 30% yoy (CAGR). The Security and Surveillance industry is witnessing a stupendous growth and there is a huge potential in this segment today. Our newly launched products are specifically designed to meet the emerging needs of the next generation security required by corporate, hospitality, healthcare, educational institutes and more."

Intex CCTV cameras are equipped with Sony Super HAD-II CCD Sensor or DIS/HDIS Sensor which helps in capturing every little detail in surveillance recording appear sharper and clearer. The product range comprises of Dome and Bullet cameras with 480-700 TVL. The 3-Axis movement present in dome cameras makes it easy to adjust the angle from a wall or ceiling to capture every corner of surroundings. Cameras have an effective IR Range up to 20-30 metres and are dust and weather proof allowing users to monitor all parts of the workplace or homes even under harsh conditions. Intex also has high end range of PTZ camera with 30x Optical zoom and 12x Digital Zoom, IP Cameras with D1 and VGA resolution with 3G connectivity.

The DVR range comprises of 5 models. It provides 960H, D1 and CIF recording resolution formats and Pentaplex operation allows for live, multi-mode recording, multichannel playback, backup and remote access. The maximum storage capacity on all DVRs is 2TB with a support of 1 HDD internally. Few DVRs also have supports for 3G connectivity to ensure network connectivity at remote site and additionally supports Wi-Fi and HDMI Port. The Central Video Management and Mobile phone software provided along with the product is compatible with all major mobile devices (Android, iPhone, Blackberry). Intex has also introduced range of power supply for cameras which can power from 1 Night vision camera/2 Normal cameras to upto 3 night vision cameras/ 6 normal cameras.
