Intel's IoT roadshow concludes

Intel Software has concluded its two-day Internet of Things (IoT) roadshow in Bengaluru. To build Iot enable solutions153 makers and pro-makers came together at this 24-hour hackathon. With the use of Intel IoT Developer kits 45 IoT solutions were created which includes an Intel Edison board.

The winner, DriveAlert, created a solution to prevent mishaps due to drowsy driving/ flying and enhancing driver efficiency using driving data. The device will capture behavior patterns of the driver and his interaction with the components of the vehicle. This gathered data will be then used to give the driver a feedback.

Narendra Bhandari, director, APJ, Intel Software and Services Group – developer, Relations Division said, “IoT is a huge opportunity and software plays a key role as a catalyst in enabling smarter solutions. The Intel IoT roadshow provides young and enthusiastic makers and hobbyists with a platform to demonstrate their creativity using Intel Edison boards. This year, we saw a lot of out-of-box innovations and interesting solutions by young entrepreneurs. Intel will continue to invest in such efforts to nurture the local ecosystem and encourage local makers and entrepreneurs to innovate and contribute to the Digital India vision of the government.” Intel is hosting 20 Intel IoT roadshows for maker communities in cities across US, Europe, South America and Asia.
