Intellect conduct SAP program in Surat

SAP-based solution provider Intellect and SAP have organized a C-Level session for promoting the GEMware solution based on SAP ERP in the diamond industry. The event was held at Hotel The Grand Bhagwati in Surat on 7th June 2013.

Commenting on the event, Sabahat Kazi, Co-Founder of Intellect Bizware said, "The idea is to inform and generate interest in the Indian Gems and Jewelry companies to leverage the true power of IT in managing their businesses. While the whole world including India has embraced ERP as their IT backbone, the adoption has been quite low in the Gems and Jewellery segment."

A host of small solutions which Kazi calls "Pseudo ERP" still rule this segment. He said, "Since these solutions are focused on specific segments such as Jewelry Manufacturing or Diamond Manufacturing or Retailing, they are not able to meet the requirement of dynamic, fast growing companies which want to have not only all business functions but also all segments managed under one umbrella ERP system. SAP is the system which can do that and GEMware is the solution based on SAP ERP that provides a solution for all segments including Diamond manufacturing and Trading, Jewelry Manufacturing and Retailing"
