Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is all set to launch its flagship device Mate 10. According to a report by a Polish website, the company will launch the device on October 16 at an event in Munich.
The report also suggests that the company will also launch smaller version of the Mate 10, likely to be called Huawei Mate 10 Lite.
As per earlier reports, the Huawei Mate 10 will come with an edge-to-edge 6-inch dsplay with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is said to be powered by company's own Kirin 970 processor.
Recently, Huawei's CEO Richard Yu in an interview to Bloomberg revealed that Huawei Mate 10 will give tough competition to Apple's upcoming iPhone.
He further added that Mate 10's improved charging speed, cameras and other features will make it a worthy contender to compete with the upcoming iPhone. "We will have an even more powerful product. The Mate 10, which has much longer battery life with a full-screen display, quicker changing speed, better-photographing capability and many other features that will help us compete with Apple," he told Bloomberg in an interview.
It is worth mentioning that for now both Samsung and LG have sent press invites for the launch of their Galaxy Note 8 and the V30 phablets. Both the devices have seen a fair share of leaks and rumours in the past few months.
Samsung is holding its 'Galaxy Unpacked' event on August 23. The main event will take place in Park Avenue Armory, New York at 11AM EST (8.30PM IST). The company will also be live streaming the event on its own website.
