President of North East Computer Traders’ Association (NECTA), Ranjan Das has resigned unofficially from his position. He handed over his resignation to the association on 11th December.
After his resignation, the old committee has been dissolved and interim committee of 5 members has been formed which will decide the next course of action.
Ex-President Das told The DQ Week, “My term was going to be completed in April-May, but I have resigned from my position, as I was not able to put my time in association. And one another reason, for my resignation is that I am moving to Delhi. However, we will soon going to reorganize NECTA and have elections this month.”
On the contrary, there are some other gossips which are making the potpourri more hot. One source associated to NECTA, said, “Association was already divided into two factions. There was a longstanding ex-president who did not want to leave the space for others, and pulling the strings from behind Ranjan Das. This was causing lots of disgruntled among members.”
Now what’s the next big step: According to the sources, newly formed interim committee of five persons will decide what will happen next. A meeting will be conducted most probably at the end of the month and a new body will be selected. However, elections will not take place at this time.
