After trials in Australia and Thailand, Facebook has now brought advertisements to the messenger app of their users. In the home section of the messenger, the users will find tabs of various shopping brands, clicking them will then take users to the portal’s website or its webchat. After which they can swipe ahead or back to return to their chats.
According to Facebook Business, the General Manager of Marketing and Communications, Australian department store David Jones had said, “Messenger ads have been a powerful addition to our digital advertising campaigns, helping us reach our customers where they are already active and engaged. And thanks to placement optimisation across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and now Messenger, we’re able to continue to optimise our advertising spend and further drive business results.”As per Facebook, which has users more than 1.2 billion users, can be used by the marketers to sell their items and market them.
