Vendors, ND’s and association meets to kick off unethical practices

Raipur association, recently conducted board meeting with vendors, national distributors and regional distributors to discuss and issue strict guidelines to control unethical business practices like Market Operating Price (MOP) disturbance, verbal agreements, etc. Vendors such as HP, Lenovo, Dell, Logitech, Intex, I-Ball, etc. and distributors like Rashi peripherals, Savex, Fortune, Redington, etc. attended the meeting.

“OLS is not that easy to control but unethical practices can be controlled to some extent,” stated Kailash Wadhwani, secretary, CCMDA. “It is important to control issues which are leading to disturb offline business in the state,” he added.

Everyone participated actively keeping their point of view and finalized strict guidelines which have been sent to partners residing across the state to keep hold on increasing IT manifestoes of the state.  Deepak Vidhani, president of CCMDA said, “The first thing we have decided to implement is that all vendors, partners and ND’s have to register themselves with association for doing transactions in the state.”

Unbilled as well as online sales will not be tolerated by the association. It is also stated that due to unbilled or any online sale if MOP of any product is disturbed and any vendor, ND or partner files the written complaint the strict action will be taken by the association against that organization. Concerning same direct billing from any vendor, ND, RD will be banned and the order will stay in affect till any satisfactory clarification is received.

“It has been appealed that if security cheques are given by partners to ND’s or anyone then letter of agreement is necessary to be signed by both the parties to avoid misuse of the cheques,“ explained Vidhani.

Association and all the members have tightened their sit belts and got stricter to kick off unethical practices taking place. Interestingly vendors and ND’s have qualified their acceptance in above mentioned guidelines to make Chattisgarh IT more reliable.  Lastly, association conveyed to partners stating, “That they have to avoid relying on verbal agreements and only follow written or e-mail interactions to create safer business modules.”
