Japanese printing and imaging multinational Canon aims to extend its arms in the Enterprise and SME vertical in India. The company said that it would approach the enterprise market through its SIs and VAR partners. Canon also said that the company would focus on its B2B and B2G business in the laser category and realign its efforts to grab a substantial share in the Indian Enterprise and SME verticals.
Gautam Paul, Assistant Director & Head - Consumer Systems Group at Canon India said that the company through its SIs and VAR set of partners would tap enormous business opportunities in the enterprise segment.
“Both the Inkjet and Laser business are important for us and we have been leading the market in both the segments. We have done very well in the Laser Single Function. Now we are trying to expand our wings in the Enterprise and SME space and for that we felt a need for a different set of partners who will increase our share in this space. We will strengthen our SI and VAR partners to take Canon offerings to enterprise customers”, Paul said.
Canon recently organised partners meet in Mumbai and also launched a new set of printing solutions at the event. Addressing the partners, Paul said that with the government initiatives like Digital India, partners could play very important role in exhibiting Canon’s cutting edge technology solutions to the various government agencies and enterprises.
“We will focus on becoming a real value added vendors for our SIs and VAR partners and will continue to support them”, Paul said.
Paul said that apart from its traditional Inkjet and Laser business, Canon would be engaging in developing colour printing as a business segments. Around 60 partners across the country participated in the event.
