The Computer Association of Nashik (CAN) has elected the new executive committee for the year 2015. Nitin Gite, owner of Nice Computers has been unanimously elected as the president of CAN. Vineet Kankaria of Allways Infotech and Dhiraj Chhajed of Choice Computers have been elected as vice president and secretary respectively.
This year, for the first time in the history of CAN, executive directors (ED) were elected through ballot casting. To ensure unbiased election, a neutral committee headed by two senior CAN members Arvind Mahapatra and Chandrashekhar Dahale was constituted that executed the voting process. In the fiercely contested election, Urvish Joshi, Ashish Digraskar, Amit Pawar and Kiran Shinde were elected as executive directors.
Nitin Gite, newly elected president of CAN said that in the capacity of the new role, he would be working towards strengthening the association. He said that CAN would take up its flagship initiatives like CPL and IT exhibitions on higher levels.
Gite said that the association would be committed towards eliminating various disparities in the distribution line. He said that CAN would ensure to safeguard the interest of thousands of dealers and small resellers in Nashik.
CAN, which has successfully completed 18 years in Nashik, changed its organizational structure in 2014. The association says that the new horizontal organizational structure has helped CAN to revive its strengths. In its new avtar, CAN started several new initiatives for the channel community in 2014. The association intends to set its organizational transformation as an ideal example in front of all the IT associations in Maharashtra.
