Recently held The DQ Week’s IT Distributor Conclave in Udaipur, Punjab Association of Computers Traders (PACT) received Best IT Association Award.
As an active association which covers 18 district of Punjab and Chandigarh, recently conducted its first election, where all the exiting office-bearers of the last team were promoted.
Holding post of president for Chandigarh association, Sanjeev Walia takes the charge as a new president of PACT. Gurpeet Singh Sunny, the first president of PACT, was moved to the Chairman role for 2015- 17. The meeting was held in Pathankot on August 22. Similarly, Inder Mohan Bhasker from Jalandhar is Sr. VP post, Vikas Narang from Amritsar is VP, Prem Saini from Hoshiarpur new General Secretary, Rahul Garg from Sangrur is the Secretary. While Varinder Bansal from Bhatinda will continue to remain the treasurer and Gurpreet Singh Jagdev and Rajeev Khanna are the Media Advisors, Gurpreet Singh will be the head of wholeseller committee.
Sanjeev Walia while taking the charge as president said, “This is privilege to me as president of PACT and i am feeling excited and responsible towards the work and responsibilities. PACT is in a unique position to drive collaboration with other states partners and associations. We have 34 associations in all over Punjab and we are planning to collaborate with all 34 associations in next 3 months. We all are looking for ethical business practices with all partners. I look forward to driving key agendas for PACT that will strengthen its unique position as the apex IT channel body in India”
“I am feeling happy to inform you that FAIITA gave me another responsibility as national level association. Now I am also Joint Secretary for FAIITA. As became a JS, I will represent FAIITA in its next conclave in Kolkata in September”, he informed.
During the meeting, Gurpreet Singh Sunny spoke about the achievement of Best IT Association award by The DQ Week in IT Distributor Conclave which was received by himself and Sanjeev Walia at Udaipur. He hailed all the member associations of Punjab for this achievement and asked all the members present to work harder to maintain this position.
Speaking to the The DQ Week, Gurpreet Singh Sunny as new chairman, PACT said, “We will look up now on social responsibility. Many associations are doing the same but on their local level but now we have decided that every social activity will be done in association with PACT. A banner matter will be finalized and the same style matter will be merged with the local association name and logo to promote PACT. A committee for this was formed for this purpose.”
