the
ongoing IT development process in Bihar, the Centre of Excellence
(CoE), a unit of Patna-based Astric Computers has signed a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) with Bihar State Electronics Development
Corporation Limited (BELTRON). Prior
to signing the MoU, a 'Letter of Intent' was issued on July 29 by
BELTRON, confirming the signing of the MoU.

objective
of this MOU is to impart training in various capacity
building programs vis-à-vis the officials and employees in IT
and
non IT domains, thereby enhancing their skill sets accruing direct
and indirect benefits to them. Herein and hereafter, all those
government departments and corporations that desire to avail training
programs may be facilitated as per the approved training modules.

will be cooperating with BELTRON on grounds of technological transfer
and imparting training. Henceforward, with the signing of the MoU,
CoE is now the knowledge as well as the technological partner of
BELTRON, the state nodal agency,” said PK Sinha of Astric
Computers. “

has been ear marked on the basis of a suo-moto proposal submitted and
thereafter validated through Swiss Challenge tender methodology post
collating all the proposals sought and best rate discovered and
matched by CoE,” a declaration by the CoE stated.

B.S.E.D.C
and CoE may take the decision to launch new courses from
time to time depending upon the requirement, assessment and market
justification. This would be keeping in line with the mandate under
e-governance awareness and capacity enhancement initiative under
myriad government schemes. The
CoE is a state-of-art infrastructure spread over 5,000 square feet in
a centrally air-conditioned ambience with Wi-Fi (broadband) and
online video surveillance facility.

has multiple class rooms, online labs, seminar and conference halls
with ample space for parking. The laboratories are round the clock
backed by hybrid power (solar and wind) apart from the conventional
inverters and UPS backup support. We got an order from Rajesh Bhushan
IAS, Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations, who is
also heading Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC), for
training of their state-level officers on computer
competency, articulation and presentation skills,” Sinha
added.

CoE
is imparting training in the domain of articulation and
presentation skills, computer competency, accounts (including tally)
related proficiency, communicative english, e-learning, soft skills
and personality development. However,
with the signing of the MoU, the training course will be conducted by
way of class room presentations, practical demonstration and projects
designing, which enhances the prospects and inducts special skills in
individuals as well as group dynamics by its skilled professionals
and various technology cum knowledge partners. Also,
the Department of IT, Govt. of Bihar has issued a circular in
this regard to all departments, corporations and
societies to identify, nominate and sponsor their officials and
functionaries to undergo the approved training and capacity
building programmes which may be most apt and need-specific.
