Alcatel Flash has unveiled Flash 2, which is the second variant of their smartphone launched last year, and is priced at Rs 9,299. In India, the phone will be available exclusively on online marketplace Flipkart.
According to the company, their latest offering is focused on mobile photography as one of the main highlights with a “camera-centric” approach as their go-to-market strategy for the Indian consumers. Speaking about the same, Albert Wong, General Manager, Alcatel Flash, said, “Mobiography is not just an action, but is now a lifestyle. We understand this from the very beginning when we created the Flash 2 series.”
Talking about the specifications, the Alcatel Flash 2 is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T720MP4 GPU. It comes paired with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded by via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone, which will be sold in its Volcanic Grey colour variant, comes with a capacitive touchscreen.
It sports a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels which translates into 294 ppi along with 178-degree viewing angle feature. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The major highlight of the phone is a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL Sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter, PDAF, 80-degree wide angle, 1080P video recording. The front camera is of 5MP with Soft LED flash, OV5648 1/4″ sensor, f/2.2 aperture
On the connectivity front, Alcatel Flash 2 supports Indian 4G bands, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and Micro-USB. It is equipped with a 3000mAh battery on board and has features such as the dual-SIM dual-standby.
