Thrissur District unit of All Kerala IT Dealers Association (AKITDA) has signed an MoU with the sub distributors to maintain the MOP while billing to dealers and end customers. The aim of this initiative is to create a competitive business atmosphere in the district by ensuring equal business opportunities and fair profit margins to all the stakeholders in the channel ecosystem.
Liju Raju, state president of AKITDA said that the initiative by the Thrissur District unit aimed at eliminating various disparities in the distribution business and the credit policies. According to the MoU, all the sub distributors are bound to maintain the MOP while billing to dealers and end customers.
“We want to encourage fair trade practices in Kerala. This initiative has been kicked off in Thrissur District on a trial basis and we will closely monitor the results. Subsequently, we will start this program in other districts”, he said.
Commenting on the credit policy, Alex, State general secretary of AKITDA said that the sub distributor and dealers would be bound to approach the association before initiating any legal action against the defaulters.
Liju said that almost all sub distributors in the district signed the MoU with the association. He said the association has shared the copy of MoU with other district presidents for their approval.
