AKAI India has further expanded its consumer durables portfolio with the launch of three new models of Inverter Air-conditioners. In the year 2017, Akai had launched 10 AC models including window and split ACs ranging from 0.75 Ton to 2 Ton to which Akai witnessed a great demand across north India. The new models i.e. AKSI – 123ERT, AKSI – 183ERT and AKSI – 185ERT will be available in 1 ton (3 Star) &1.5 ton (3-star and 5-star).
Priced between INR39,990 and INR63,990, the products will be priced competitively to provide easy availability in the Tier II and III markets along with the metros. The company has also introduced series of split ACs in 1 Ton,1.5 Ton & 2 Ton which all are energy efficient along with features such as Gold Fin,100% Copper, Green Gas. All these conform to the new govt guidelines on energy efficiency. With the launch of these new models, AKAI plans to upsurge its offering in consumer durable and home appliance segment.
With the state-of-the-art Japanese technology at its core, AKAI ACs have been designed to offer maximum cooling even in extreme conditions. The ACs will be available with healthy filter feature- Catechin which helps remove harmful bacteria in the air and active carbon that deodorizes air absorbs smoke and purifies the air of chemical impurities.
They are also equipped with next-generation inverter technology compressor that ensures greater durability even at high temperature and overload conditions. All ACs are coming with environment-friendly Green gas.
The ACs will be available in all partner stores across India. Recently Akai has tied-up with Modern retailers like Kohinoor, Bajaj electronics, Girias, Sanket to name a few which has exceedingly strengthened its position across metros & bigger cities in the west & south India. With this move, Akai foresees to strengthen its AC portfolio across markets along with its strong presence across North, south & west India.
The company has already ramped up its retail base with over 1200 dealers network across Delhi NCR, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Mumbai, Rest of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and foresees to expand to East India by the end of FY18.
In addition to this, the company will also deploy around 1,000 people at different retail stores across the country. Akai’s aim is not only to amplify sales but at the same establishing after-sales service centres across the country. AKAI foresees to reach a critical mass and achieve a threshold level by the end of 2018.
