Launched in the month of December Acer's Iconia W4 hopes to contribute a significant pie in Acer's revenue growth this current quarter. Acer aims to sell approximately 3000 to 4000 units of Iconia W4 in JFM 2014 quarter in India. Acer India unveiled their new 20.32 cm (8-inch) ICONIA W4 tablet for the Indian consumers on 20 December, 2013. Featuring IPS and Zero Air Gap technologies that provide a sharp display with enhanced clarity and brightness, the Iconia W4 is also equipped with Windows 8.1 and the 4th Generation Intel® AtomTM Quad Core processor that offers faster tablet performance.
Targeted at active and professional users, the ICONIA W4 seamlessly weaves portable computing and entertainment. Moreover, the built-in tablet portrait mode provides a one-page experience whether users are checking apps, browsing the web, reading or even responding to emails and social media posts. Pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013, it allows users to create and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents virtually anywhere, while an optional full-sized keyboard enables more productive typing on the go.
"Acer is the first company to launch a tablet based on the latest Windows 8.1 OS in the 20.3cm category in India. And India is one of the first markets to introduce Iconia W4, even ahead of more mature Acer markets such as North America & Europe. Since we have just launched the product, we are closely watching this space and taking feedback from our retailers and initial adopters", said S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India. The Iconia W4 is poised to have a much greater market traction in the coming days, added S. Rajendran.
