WD organizes 'meet and greet' with ‘Happy New Year’ cast

WD, a Western Digital company successfully organized a meet and greet in Delhi on October 20, 2014 for its topmost partners and winners of the My Passport Ultra Mania Contest run by WD for its consumers.  Khalid Wani, Director (Branded Products), India, Middle East and Africa for WD and Subroto Das, Director, India and South Asia for WD welcomed the leading star cast of ‘Happy New Year, including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, and Vivaan Shah, and presented WD’s personal cloud solution, My Cloud, in 2TB capacity to them.

On this occasion, Shah Rukh Khan announced “On behalf of Red Chillies and all the work that we have done, it’s a very heavily worked film at VFX and I think one of the prerequisites for being able to make a film like this is to have storage which is trustworthy and provides huge amounts of terabytes and stuff. Thank you WD for partnering with us.” Partners and winners of the Ultra Mania contest were also given an opportunity to meet and greet with the star cast.

WD is the “Digital Storage” partner for Happy New Year. As part of this association, WD provided the production house with some of its key storage products. These products have been used by Red Chillies for the on-spot storage of shoot footage and in its studio for editing, post-production, and storing world-class special effects. WD products will also be featured in the narrative of the movie.
