‘Security on Wheels' program launched by Norton by Symantec

Norton by Symantec has launched the ‘Security on Wheels' campaign, an initiative to promote online safety among Indian consumers.

Norton by Symantec has launched the ‘Security on Wheels' campaign, an initiative to promote online safety among Indian consumers. As part of this initiative, a customized Norton Van will visit educational institutions and public hotspots in 13 cities across North India. This program will run for 41 days to interact with consumers and educate them about staying safe online.

Ritesh Chopra, country manager, Norton by Symantec said, "While Indian consumers are getting more internet and smartphone savvy, their online habits do not indicate an increase in their security awareness levels. According to the Norton Report 2013, 62 percent of online adults have been victims of cybercrime and or negative online situation last year. With the ‘Security on Wheels' initiative, we wish to connect with the Indian consumers, educate them on the changing threat landscape and empower them to keep their information safe."

In conjunction with this initiative, Norton will be running a ‘Spot the Van' contest, encouraging onlookers to take pictures of the van, post these pictures on the Norton Facebook page and win gift vouchers upon receiving maximum likes in that city..
