A10 Networks to strengthen its presence in India

The company is gearing up to expand its reach as well as increase its market share in India. Hayato Koeda, president & CEO, KK and vice president of South APAC, A10 Networks said, "We are relatively new entrant as compared to our competitors, however, in this short time frame, we have managed to be in the top ranking in many countries across the globe. We enjoy a good mindshare in this country and now we will our take engagements to the next level. There is immense opportunity and we are working out strategies to tap as many as possible."

A10 is a channel centric company and work closely with its channel partners at each level. Koeda said, "We believe channel plays a significant role and I personally make periodic visits to meet up with partners." He further said, "We have a two pronged system in place where we have 2 national distributors and about 12-13 national channel partners and tier-2 channel partners."

Commenting on channel engagement, Shalendra Singh, country sales manager, A10 Networks said, "We recently conducted a partner meet in Delhi and going ahead we plan to make significant investment in the development of our channel as well as partners. We are planning to conduct training seminars for our partners. Also, a global channel workshop is planned which will be hosted in South Asia where partners from India will also participate. Furthermore, another channel meet in planned in October."

Currently, the majority of its business in India comes from ADC which is about 80% and the rest comes from IPV6 migration and other bouquet of solutions it offers. Koeda said, "Our key verticals includes BFSI, e-commerce portals (flipkart), Media and others. We have made inroads into verticals like Datacenter, IT/ITeS which we hope will further boost our overall growth in this country." In the gamut of verticals that the company caters to, about 65% is large enterprises while the rest are enterprises to SMEs.

Koeda said, "We are seeing tremendous opportunities with the increasing adoption of mobility which has increased the mobile application usage and this market we see huge opportunity. Another segment that is cloud services/ virtualization has seen increase adoption and this provides us with significant potential for growth. I think these two can be called as the next growth drivers for us in this market."

A10 Networks aspires to double its growth in the next three years. Commenting on the current market scenario, Koeda said, "The current economic condition is both a challenge as well as opportunity for us. However, we are looking at making profitable business in the market. We will  be investing and our plans will be aggressive. We want to grow the topline and India is today one of the most priority market for us."
